Our company's primary goal is to support self-published authors. We especially support urban authors, who are not receiving the recognition for their work for various reasons. Authors who have chosen to share their stories with our youth in an effort to deter them from following a path that leads to destruction. These authors are self-published and are looking for an opened minded audience. We are committed to helping all self-published aspiring authors' establish solid relationship with the public. All we ask from you is that you be committed to working as hard as we do. This is your book and you are your best seller.

We created an authors gallery on our website to assist authors with the promotion and distribution of their books on and off-line. Self-published authors who join C&B Book's membership will be listed in that author's gallery. Our membership is free with the purchase of our one year ad which is $150.00. These authors become our clients and receive our full support with the following: Sponsorship, book sales, distribution, and book signing engagements, book expos, press releases, networking and media promos. You will be listed on our home page and in our monthly newsletter at different intervals. We all know that the key to marketing a product is advertisement and promotion which creates supply and demand.

Aspiring and self-published authors may have limited capital and resources. We researched and discovered others who shared our mission to support new authors who decided that they want to self-publish. More than just promoting and supporting, C&B Books is a resourceful research center as well. We refer authors to our network of contacts, such as book clubs, book stores, publishers, editors, reviewers, radio stations, public access television etc.

We held our first Queens Book Fair April 30, 2005. It was and effort to bring national publicity to our aspiring self-published authors. Newsday covered that event and gave our authors media coverage. We are back this year bigger and better. The Queens Book Fair 2006 will be held at Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens on August 19, 2006.

C&B Books sponsored Renee D. Flagler of Aspicomm Media, Self-published symposium held March 2006 at the Schomberg Library in Harlem We are sponsoring self-published authors at the Book Expo in Washington D.C May 19-21, 2006. Our goal is to get our authors as much publicity as possible. We will be in every arena where they will receive public's awareness. Our greatest accomplishment was receiving a proclamation from the honorable Ms. Helen Marshall, Queens Borough President. She gave this on behalf of Self-published authors. Ms. Marshall proclaimed April as Book Month in Queens. Our self-published authors made history, to celebrate this C&B Books sponsored book signings for the entire month of April 2006, at the Jamaica Market. Our mission is to continue bringing our authors to the public.
