C&B Books Presents Rolanda Pyle

It’s not surprising that Pyle, who was born in Harlem, raised in Brooklyn and currently lives in Newark, would put together such a collection. She’s about helping people. She is a certified social worker and the Associate Director of the Relatives as Parents Program at The Brookdale Foundation Group and for a decade served as director of the New York City Department for the Aging’s Grandparent Resource Center. Pyle’s commitment to the community earned her plaudits with the 2004 Sloan Public Service Award and HBO’s 2004 Beah Richards Spirit Award. Pyle is the publisher and author of Finally, a collection of inspirational poems for which she received the Best Inspirational Poems award in 2008 from Christian Storyteller. The authors come from a multitude of backgrounds, from social service, transportation, finance, ministry and beyond. They include: Leslie Pearl Bailey-Clarke; William C.
