C&B Books Presents Rolanda Pyle

It’s not surprising that Pyle, who was born in Harlem, raised in Brooklyn and currently lives in Newark, would put together such a collection. She’s about helping people. She is a certified social worker and the Associate Director of the Relatives as Parents Program at The Brookdale Foundation Group and for a decade served as director of the New York City Department for the Aging’s Grandparent Resource Center. Pyle’s commitment to the community earned her plaudits with the 2004 Sloan Public Service Award and HBO’s 2004 Beah Richards Spirit Award. Pyle is the publisher and author of Finally, a collection of inspirational poems for which she received the Best Inspirational Poems award in 2008 from Christian Storyteller. The authors come from a multitude of backgrounds, from social service, transportation, finance, ministry and beyond. They include: Leslie Pearl Bailey-Clarke; William C. Bell; Waldo Best; Roger Antonio Clarke; Laraine Fitchett; Veronica Gordon; Cheryl Jackson; Godwin Latouche; Evelyn P. Lawrence; Pastor Sharon Locus; Deaconess Pecolia Matthews-Pearley; Lady Tania Michael; Minister Joshua Michaels; Phillipa Morrish; Sheryl Nance-Nash; Tamika Nurse; Rolanda T. Pyle; Hillary Spence- Fraser; Dr. Yoreel C. Fraser-Trumpet; Lakisha Nyhemia Williams; Paula Renee Williams and Dr. Theresa Williams-Lloyd. The cover page text was written by Allison Neckles. ABOUT RORO’S RAINBOW COMMUNICATIONS
Rolanda T. Pyle is both author and publisher and the name of her press, RoRo's Rainbow Communications, which is based in Newark, New Jersey, was inspired by her love for rainbows, which remind her that God keeps His promises. The motto is "a word fitly spoken" as found in Proverbs 25:11—"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pitchers of silver." She prays that the words written in her books will bring encouragement, inspiration and motivation to the readers and that they will truly be "books for the heart and soul."

Book Description
COMFORT IN A TIME OF CRISIS
Beneath His Everlasting Wings
29 Inspirational and Life-Changing Devotionals
NEWARK, NJ – MAY 15, 2009 Rolanda T. Pyle was on a mission to help others and walked into her own blessing. “I wanted the book to be a blessing to others, but in the meantime, I went through some challenges of my own and ended up reading the devotional over and over. It blessed me,” says Pyle, who compiled the works in the recently published Beneath His Everlasting Wings.
“In this time of economic and other crises, this book will remind people, through the testimony of others, that God is faithful.
Pyle explains her inspiration for creating the collection of personal testimonies, advice, poetry and teachings.
I knew so many people who had a story to tell that could change the lives of others. This was a good way for people to be able to share their experiences. I’m sure there is at least one situation that will hit home to each reader.
This devotional book ministers to those going through difficult situations by providing Scriptures and tools to help readers cope with life challenges.
My prayer is that each page would touch, heal, motivate, inspire, mold, encourage, transform, restore, and revive, says Pyle.
The tales touch deeply as they spotlight life changing moments like moving from pain to power, trusting God, knowing all things are possible, learning that prayer works, the glory of God’s favor and more.
