I was born, and continue to reside, in South Jamaica, New York. I am a father of five, High School Dean of Students for the New York City Department of Education for over eleven years, a born again Christian and happily married. My lovely supportive wife is my strength, best friend, and pre-editor of my work and the work we publish. Together we run our own boutique publishing company, called Bravin Publishing LLC. In the future we hope to give authors a home to get their work produced and read without worry of being taken advantage of.

We manage to keep everything together by sustaining a united front in marriage and business. The publishing company is also a way of giving unknown authors a way to publish their work themselves and our way of presenting ourselves as role models for today’s youth in the African American community.

I obtained my A.S. in business from Kingsborough Community College; City University of New York, a B.S. in Education from York College; City University of New York and a Master’s Degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum Writing, Assessments and Teaching from Walden University. I anticipate beginning my PhD studies in the near future.

“A Man in Transition” is my first completed work and was the first book published by Bravin Publishing. Over the years I changed my focus from erotic based content to romance, spiritual inspirations and social promotion due to religious choices. I hope to offer the world-focused insight of a man who has completely changed his life from one of self fulfillment to helping and supporting others. I believe my writing expresses my growth as a man who, now, attempts to offer counsel, entertainment and guidance to all he meets.

As a man travels through life many things affect the way he chooses to walk his path. Some may run and see nothing, some may quit and stay right where they are, and yet others will grow as they walk, taking in each moment as they pass by. A Man in Transition is a reflection of my path and the variables that affect my steps. I was never a child that considered God would even think of giving me talent enough to write anything on this scale. Well as you grow and mature you start to have many experiences in your life. The Lord’s voice grows stronger and even if you go in a different direction you’re still going to experience what he wants for you, it just wont make as much sense until you give in and listen. There is love and emotion that comes along the way as your life shapes into form. The love you have for God, your kids, and of course finding a good woman. There is passion for the same things.
