ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Nneka Gunn was born in Panama City, Florida, and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She began writing children's books while helping her young son overcome a speech impediment. Her first novel born of that experience, The Island of Abandoned Dreams, was highly successful. Several other books are slated for publication in the near future.

Rumble in the Jungle, Nneka's second book, aspires to teach kids the dangers of gossiping and spreading rumors. Rumble is currently being adapted into a play that will debut in Chattanooga in April 2007. Bright young performers from the kindergarten class at Tommie F. Brown Academy, including her own son, bring the play to life with their energy and enthusiasm.

Nneka started a business with her mother in 2006 called Undiscovered Minds of Chattanooga which, in addition to her children's books, will produce books featuring the works of little known but talented local artists. She currently lives in Chattanooga with her husband, son, and two dogs.

She equipped and prepared him for the journey and the reader will share the adventure as Elijah makes the journey to retrieve his lost dream.
