From Brooklyn to the Grave

Several minutes later, three women dressed in dark clothing made their way along the side of a house to a door that sat in the shadows of a driveway. Two of the women stopped short of the door, standing motionless as the shortest woman of the three stepped up to it and placed her ear to the frame, listening for any sound that would give away anybody waiting on the other side. Her nerves already on edge from the waiting, she glanced back over her shoulder, checking out the windows of the house next door for any kind of movement or something that would indicate, they were being watched. However, she only found drawn shades behind each glass. Nothing moved there was a peaceful quietness in the small community of, Elmont Long Island.
Connie turned to Diamond and Sasha, motioning with her hand for them to move aside. Then she placed her back against the side of the house and reached out with her left hand grabbing the doorknob. She slowly turned the knob, while at the same time, in her right hand she held a nine-millimeter Beretta at chest level, and behind her Sasha stood holding a Tech-9 with two hands. Everyone's eyes were on the doorknob, as it made a full rotation in Connie's hand and the door swung quietly out at them.
Connie, who stood only inches away from the opening, braced herself for the unexpected, and stepped away from the side of the house, fronting the half opened door with her gun pointed at the darkness inside. She stood still with her gun hand unwavering for what seemed like an hour but was actually only seconds. She signaled once more for her two companions to follow her as she stepped into the dark enclosure tip-toeing her way up a short set of steps and into the kitchen, where she paused for a brief moment before hurrying across the floor to a doorway that lead out into a narrow hall.
She waited in the kitchen long enough to let her eyes adjust to the low lighting in the narrow hallway, then inched forward one foot at a time, keeping her eyes glued to the outlines of two doors, a few feet away. Connie was easing up to the first door when suddenly someone stepped out in front of her. Both women were surprised by the others sudden appearance, only Flavor's surprise came from the barrels of three guns pointed at her. . .
