Silent Fear, is an excellent story which leads to a trail of events surrounding Nia's world.
Nia is an ordinary working woman who's in a relationship with her high school sweetheart (Mike). After seven years, Nia bored with her relationship with Mike is very curious about the grass on the other side and decides to call-it-quits. Mike confused and devastated respects the love-of-his life decision and moves out.
Meanwhile Tony very handsome man with dangerous connections meets and lures Nia into his world after they locked eyes during a night out with their friends.

Very prematurely, alienating everyone around her, Nia finds herself falling hard and heavy for Tony.
Tiffany, Nia's dearest friend starts putting pieces together after noticing unusual behavior and changes in her. Silent Fear quickly unfolds after Tiffany, fearing for Nia, and with the help of her co-worker (Gloria) stops at nothing to solve the dangerous occurrences with Tony being the perpetrator (or is he)?
Renee does the unexpected and stylish job putting closure to her first-time novel which has a shocking and heart-felt ending which help makes Silent Fear a good read!

Johnson, cleverly takes you knee deep inside the ruthless Drug World, where living on the edge was routine for many who dared to challenge it! Diamond Faith Sterling, born into poverty, brought up in the inner cities of California, experiences up close and too personal the plight, pain, and risk of living-in-the-city. Diamond's mother, addicted to drugs and alcohol had hopes that her only daughter would have a chance of surviving the clutches of the streets, believing it would be easier for her compared to her siblings. Little did her mother know, Diamond would become something much more and much worse than her three brothers combined! Moving from one neighborhood to another, Diamond meets (home girls and guys) of her peers who; she later grows to love a great deal. Ms. Pamela Johnson also entwines some poetry, which were a nice addition. She creatively writes this novel sharing how mentors and very successful people became victims of their environment, some succumbing and others transforming, from "Hard Rock to a Gem!"

Spanish Eyes, by Denise Campbell is a funny, passionate, and sexy novel with tails of events laced with something for everyone!
Delia and Chyna, campus college students and best of friends, quickly discover that there are bigger lessons to learn compared to their schoolbooks.
Delia learns that she was better off just being friends with Michael (her boss) at Branson and Brendan Law firm in spite of, the attraction they both share for each other.
Miguel (Spanish Eyes), a gorgeous Latino literally dances his way into Chyna’s heart and then her bed where the music slowly stops playing!

Hope C. Clarke does a wonderful job combining mystery and romance in her novel, Best Seller.

C.F. Hawthorne's novel is one of the most intriguing books that I have ever read! Her novel is loaded with love, support and spirituality however there is a dark side!

Ms. Latorial Faison's, Secrets of My Soul, collection of poetry is uplifting - And a delightful ray of work. Intelligently written, Latorial explores various issues and plights regarding self, family, and the world describing them in words filled with spirituality, empowerment, love and joy.

I especially enjoyed the positive energy that I personally felt as I read each one of her poems. I look forward to reading more poetry by Ms. Faison's in the near future.


Her poetry is a wonderful 'Fruit of Thoughts'.

Killing In The Name of Love

Killing in the Name of Love, Genocide of a Nation by, Alvin Morrow is an eye-opening book filled from cover to cover with hideouts and devastating realities of Black history.
Being an advocate of African American history, I found Killing in the Name of Love melancholic, educating, and interesting. Superb and intelligently written, Mr. Morrow takes his readers on a powerful journey back to the Motherland dating back to 1555, where the documented destruction all began. Carefully outlining, he explains important non-fictional events that contributed to the tribulation behind, (Genocide of a Nation).

Mr. Morrow highlights how after over 400 years, many African Americans are still in slavery to date and suffering from acute cases of identity crisis, as they continue to destroy their mental, physical bodies, environments, and families!
The struggle continues and Alvin Morrow fully aware of this leaves no stones unturned revealing the truth and sending a wake-up call, which is very much needed.
I highly recommend reading, Killing in the Name of Love especially for young African Americans searching for the truth about His-story and not Their-story!
