C&B BOOKS, was started in 1995, by Carol Rogers & Brenda Piper. Two years ago we started the C&B Book club, the club has grown immensely. The motivation behind this book business, was the lack of affordable books written by black authors. We decided to become an asset to our Youth and the African American commuitiy in a whole. We offer our books for less then the major stores, we knew this would provide our readers with a wider variety of reading material. We have, titles for all ages in all catagories, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, inspirational, educational etc.

FROM A HARD ROCK TO A GEM: A MEMOIR OF A LOST SOUL
MEET MS. PAMELA M. JOHNSON AUTHOR

Pamela M. Johnson From A Hard Rock To A Gem: A Memoir Of A Lost Soul Diamond Faith Sterling is an inner-city girl fashioned by her environment where crime, poverty and injustice abound and childhood dreams too often become dreams deferred. She has decided that, while society has denied her any chance to enter Heaven (to go to college, to become a professional), she will accept nothing less than ruling Hell (the inner-city and the streets of East Oakland). This one time street-corner drug-pusher transforms herself into a gritty queen pin: the ruthless leader of a multimillion-dollar narcotics syndicate as builds her empire piece by bloody piece. More and more, she desires to (in the parlance of the inner city) flip her money into something genuine and she begins to focus on her childhood dreams of being somebody. Yet, to rise to Heaven, one must cut ties to Hell...and for this hard rock anti-heroine, giving up the empire she fought so hard to build proves to be the toughest, most gut-wrenching challenge of all

News Release
"UNFIT FOR COMMAND"

Unfit for Command Queens, New York - Book Distribution Company C&B; BOOKSDISTRIBUTION
Selects Book "Unfit for Command" by John E. O'Neil & Jerome R. Corsi as best read of September 2004.
In 1971 John O'Neill, the officer who took over John Kerry's Swift Boat in Vietnam , returned home from Vietnam only to realize that the man he served with, John Kerry, had become a leader of the radical group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and was slandering his fellow veterans as war criminals. O'Neill debated John Kerry on the Dick Cavett show in 1971, successfully demolishing Kerry's accusations against his fellow troops in Vietnam. In his new book, Unfit for Command, O'Neill and co-author Jerome Corsi bring together the voices of more than two hundred Navy veterans who served with Kerry, and who feel it their duty to tell why John Kerry is unworthy of the presidency.
